The two-penny cat said to the barn-door owl,
“The most difficult, unpredictable, opinionated and
contentious person in my life is myself.”
And with a rapid blink of his golden eyes, the owl replied,
“If you’re not intimidating everyone in your world, cat,
you’re not doing your job.”
Fabriella, the fairy princess, decided one moonlit
night to step outside her fairy ring just to see
whatever might be happening out there
and when she looked back, it was dawn!
the sun was shining! And her fairy ring was gone!
The barn-door owl said to the two-penny cat,
“I am pondering the weight of the quantum particles
that stream past the planet Mars.” And the cat replied,
“The fiddlehead ferns will continue to unfurl their
fronds no matter what is happening on Mars.”
