Some of the clothes I wear along with other things
come from the shelves of Good Will. I buy
them, not because I can’t afford the new and more
expensive things, but because this organization
recognizes what I also recognize: that even things
dispossessed are still usable and have intrinsic worth.
I think it’s a sign of hope that in our highly aggressive
world of economic greed, that a place like Good Will
not only sells things at a modest price that are
dispossessed, they also hire dispossessed people
the cast-offs of our society, who work hard to prove
that they also are still usable and have intrinsic worth.
