When our spiritual life becomes filled with light
a mysterious journey of grace begins that takes us
unwilling and fearful to a place of total darkness.
Without warning our sensory connection to the physical
world is severed, and we are made blind by the same light
that was the instrument of our blindness.
From the depths of this all-encompassing darkness a light
begins to shine brighter than the sun; and we begin to see
again…rejoicing in our wonderment!
