The Spiritually Dispossessed
They see clouds but never experience them
they pull weeds and till the ground but do not plant
they drift through the phenomenal world oblivious
of the hidden side of things, and never experience
the dawning joy of waking up to the perennial truth
imbedded in the noumenal world of all creation
they refuse to look at the tangible world through
the eyes of their inward child, and show no interest
in learning about life outside their comfort zone
so, they continue to play in the playground of the blind
until the music stops, and in their loneliness they long
to find the courage to reveal themselves – to someone.
