Ardent lover sun burns down and kisses

the waiting wave-tossed sea.

The sun’s light is the mysterious and sacred

spark that makes life possible on earth, and the 

sea is the sacred birthing bed where all life

on earth began.

The sea salt glows bright with promise

from the passion of the lover’s kiss

while watching sea birds soar in flight

and dolphins leap in jubilant delight.

The sun’s light burning down on the waiting

fecundity of their embrace.
