A Passage through the Wilderness
I am more reverential in the sacred space
of wilderness than I am in churches
built of stone and stained glass.
I walk as softly as I can through that living
oratory where creatures glorify God
in unending canticles of praise.
I walk so softly, that not even my all-observant
ego can detect my passage, as I walk the narrow
path that leads to oneness.
