Beneath my feet in sacred soil small creatures
are at work unseen by human eye who toil away
the debris and waste of Mother Earth
while other creatures beneath my feet conspire
to resurrect back into vibrant green life
what death has relentlessly toiled away.
Life is restored to the greening paradise of Earth
in conformity with the perennial law of Life and Death
that governs the on-going creation of God’s Kingdom
wherein each creature is endowed with living green fire
and has a consciousness-of-being appropriate to its kind
passed on from generation to generation.
