We now stand on the threshold of a unique time
it will be better than spring showers on thirsty lips
the new Edict of Life cancelling out the old Edict of Death
as a new Adam and a new Eve come into focus.
The new Eve will accept her masculine side without blame
The new Adam will accept his feminine side without shame
the wound from their violent separation will be healed; and
their identity will be restored from the palm of God’s hand.
The apples of knowledge will no longer tempt them
nor will the serpent have the power to deceive them
they will come forward clothed with the cloth of wisdom
fresh-woven and lovingly prepared from Sophia’s hand.
The new Adam will no longer ravish and exploit the earth
he will husband it as a lover in love with his beloved
and the new Eve will bring forth in the long-ravished land
the flowers of mutuality, the balm of healing, and peace.
The Edomites of this tortured third age of man will again ask:
“Watchman, what of the night?” The new Adam will answer
by pointing to the bright light of divine consciousness
that eternally shines in the darkest of all our dark nights.
The sun will stand still once more at Gibeon, and the moon
will shed her light bright like the sun in the valley of Aijalon
as the grown-up battle for the souls of men is waged. The
Red Deluge will be defeated - and the battle will be won.
